Offshore 44 in Newcastle
This must be one of the oldest bars in Newcastle and it certainly looks like it from the outset. Don't let this put you off. The pub definitely has a nautical feel with ropes leading down all the bars and lots of old memorabilia.
The design of the pub is situated around a long bar that leads you through the bar, off to the right and at the front there is a seating area as well as at the rear of the bar.
In the summer months there is a BBQ in the court yard to line the belly for drink or just to soak up the access booze from the afternoon. This bar is very popular with locals as well as the tourist and at a weekend expect a queue as the drinks served supplement the feeling of the night Fun Fun.

Newcastle has a massive number of bars, late bars and night clubs depending on your taste and mood. They range from the the cheeziest in the country to others winning bar of the year award.
So you can see why we have produced this short nightclub guide. Newcastle its self is very small in size so all bars are in walking distance from and each other, but it all depends on what you want.
