This bar has become one of the places to be seen, in an excellent location looking over the Millennium Bridge and the Baltic art gala the design of the bar encompasses the views and atmosphere of the best bar in town. It is very much of a funky environment decked out in 60 and 70's memorabilia. Stylish inside and out with cream leather, wooden floors and booths on the inside and a beautiful terrace out it's a year round bar. Staff are competent, serving a good range of beer and cocktails and bar snacks.
Described as an urban retreat for the modern lifestyle and winner of the best new bar in Northern England (Theme Magazine, 2002), Stereo is firmly embedded in Newcastle's bar culture and is the official pre-club bar for Shindig. With regular and guest DJs warming up the weekend crowd, lounging, drinking, socialising and dancing all happen here. Stereo is also open during the day for lunch, so if you're booking a two night Weekender, Saturday lunch here is recommended. Grab a seat near the front of the bar for a fantastic view over the Tyne

Newcastle has a massive number of bars, late bars and night clubs depending on your taste and mood. They range from the the cheeziest in the country to others winning bar of the year award.
So you can see why we have produced this short nightclub guide. Newcastle its self is very small in size so all bars are in walking distance from and each other, but it all depends on what you want.
