Tokyo in Newcastle
Previously Po Na Na, it has been given an extensive makeover, but still keeping the charisma and passion of the old Po Na Na. The bar is on two levels with a small bar downstairs and an roof terrace beer garden with bar upstairs. The roof terrace is very special and is exactly what you need on a night out as you can combine drinking inside and out but which a lovely designed space. The bar extends on to the decked garden area and there is heated lamps used when the weather is less favorable. There is plenty of seating with a mixture of low tables and chairs and high stools by the bar.
The emphasis is on providing a relaxing and comfortable place to while away the evening.
The prices of the drink are the only downfall plus the staff think they own the place, but then again it is in our "a little bit special" group.
I do like this bar especially the beer garden but it is not a stag friendly environment but again if you dress well there will be no problems.

Not all bars will be in this list only the ones that I as a local will recommend. Keep following the page for more choices to help you pick your bar destination. On this page we will give you our honest opinion of some of the night spots in town, all with a special stag night juiciness rating.
Newcastle has a massive number of bars, late bars and night clubs depending on your taste and mood. They range from the the cheeziest in the country to others winning bar of the year award.
So you can see why we have produced this short nightclub guide. Newcastle its self is very small in size so all bars are in walking distance from and each other, but it all depends on what you want.
